How long will it take to transport my vehicle?
First, the distance between pick-up and delivery, second how many additional vehicles are with your shipment. Other factors, like weather conditions, traffic, and truck maintenance, may lengthen your vehicle's transportation time.
How many days in advance do I need to make my vehicle moving arrangements?
We recommend submitting your order around two weeks in advance for cross country vehicle transport, and three to four days for shorter distances. If you have an urgent situation, let us know and we'll do our very best to accommodate your vehicle transport as a "priority status." Please call us at 561-502-9531 to discuss your needs.
Standard coast-to-coast vehicle relocations take an average of 8 to 14 days. Coastal up-and-down moves can take from 3 to 6 days. Sunshine Auto Shippers will keep you informed during transportation of your vehicle.
How long does it take to have my vehicle picked up for transport, after I've made arrangements?
Within two to three days of the scheduled pick-up date you have requested. Of course, we can always make special pick-up arrangements to accommodate your schedule.
Can I pack things in my vehicle?
We recommend that you do not ship any personal belongings inside your vehicle. However, a few small items packed in the trunk are acceptable but cannot exceed 100 pounds.
What kind of truck will my vehicle be shipped on?
We provide both open and/or enclosed carriers depending on your needs.
Is our vehicle insured?
Yes. Our carrier's insurance covers the value of any vehicle that we transport.
What if my vehicle drop-off or pick-up location is inaccessible to the truck?
Most auto transport trucks are very large, up to 75 feet long. This sometimes makes it impossible to reach many residential areas. If that's the case, your driver will attempt to get as close as possible to your pick up or delivery location. We can arrange a convenient location, like a shopping center, to either pick up or deliver your vehicle. Call us at 561-502-9531 to discuss your needs.
How do I know if my vehicle will be delivered in the same condition as it was at pick up?
*NOTE: Vehicle inspections are required
1. You or your designated representative must be present for the inspection at the time of pick-up and delivery.
2. You or your designated representative must sign the bill of lading and condition report at both origin and destination.
3. You or your designated representatives are responsible for confirming your vehicle’s condition.† This must be done before the driver leaves the destination.
4. Damage will be noted by our representative on the bill of lading at origin. In the unlikely event there is additional damage on delivery, it will be noted by our representative on the bill of lading.
